Biography

Pregnancy and childbirth have fascinated me for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I aspired to be an obstetrician and spent my free time watching childbirth shows like “A Baby Story” and “Labor and Delivery” on TLC. Needless to say, when I learned what a doula was a few years ago, I immediately knew I wanted to be one. After a decade-long career in corporate America, I decided to finally pursue my passion to become a doula. The grace of the universe led me to Doulas of the Diaspora, whose mission to provide doula support to underserved communities aligns perfectly with my passion and values.

Childbirth is one of life’s most vulnerable, precious, and empowering experiences and every woman has the right to bring life into this world feeling respected, dignified, and safe. My mission is to provide birthing families with compassionate, information-based support in order to instill in them the confidence and peace to advocate for themselves and the birthing experience they envision.

I truly feel called to do this work and I can’t wait to support you on your journey to meeting your baby!
